Background

PictureBox is an SVOD service owned by NBCUniversal. Subscribers to Virgin Media can sign up to PictureBox for a monthly fee and gain access to a selection of hand-picked films every month.

PictureBox asked us to present back a selection of content ideas that the Virgin Media marketing team could use as part of this communication.

 

Objectives

  1. An idea that will excite and encourage the Virgin Media marketing team to share 
with their customers
  2. Communicate the PictureBox proposition to the huge Virgin Media 
customer database
  3. Drive subscriptions

Our Solution

We produced a 60 second review show that saw leading UK film critic Karen Krizanovich highlighting her favourite scenes from a selection of films that were live on the service that month.

Refreshed fortnightly, the show features continuously on the Virgin Media barker channel which plays out to all their customers

Results

Both PictureBox and Virgin Media were delighted with the programme which plays continuously on the Virgin Media barker channel, reaching over 3.8 million customers and now drives continuous traffic to sign up.
